120th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION - SEPTEMBER 26, 2009
Members gathered for a day filled with socializing with other members, throwing bean bags or the kids jumping in the jungle gym. The entertainment for the night was provided by Johnsburg's own Boney Knees.
BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT - MARCH 2009
Got Game? All age groups are welcome to participate in this event from 4th grade boys and girls to over 30 men. Gather up all your teammates and contact a court officer for more information. Over thirty teams participated in 2008.
EUCHRE TOURNAMENT - APRIL 24, 2009
Congratulations to Pete Smith and Gary Polidori for winning the 12th Annual Euchre Tournament beating out Joe and Elmer Meyers. We would also like to give a big thank you to Jeff Fowler who started the tournament and is now stepping down as chairman. Thank you to all 49 teams who participated as well as State Treasurer/Sentinel Jeff Fowler and his committee for making the event successful.
ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY & JOIN HANDS DAY - APRIL 18, 2009
On this day, we picked up garbage along Johnsburg Road starting at the corner of Chapel Hill Road and Johnsburg Road all the way up to Novotny Servistar. As part of our adopt-a-highway program we participated in a national event called Join Hands Day with other organizations around the country making our country a better place to live. Lunch was provided by Court #96 after the event. Court #96 would like to thank all members who participated.
GOLF OUTING & STEAK FRY - AUGUST 22, 2009
Whether you are a beginner or pro golfer, all members are welcome to participate even if there is one of you or a complete foursome. There is a picnic after the outing at the Johnsburg Community Club outdoor grounds where Chef Johnny Meyers will grill steaks for the family along with some buttery sweet corn. Prizes and awards are also given out to all members who participate.
